- With ten laps to go in an oval race, any driver not on the lead lap will be issued a verbal Blue Flag over race chat in order to allow the leaders to battle unimpeded to the finish. - Any driver at the tail end of the lead lap is allowed to race the race leader in order to try to stay on the lead lap. - Once the battling driver falls behind the Leader, they will be issued a verbal Blue Flag and are then expected to yield the battle to the leaders.
